  1. Hey Jessica, you commented on my introduction post about your love for travel! What places have you been and what places do you hope to go? England and Paris were both so great! I actually liked England more than I liked Paris, which kind of surprised me...but the food in Paris was AMAZING! I love bakeries and bread and pastries, and they make them fresh in Paris, so it was definitely great! I loved the sights in both places as well. So it was fun! Nothing like some good travels!

    1. Oh boy! Not only are you making me hungry, but now you have me even more excited about going to Paris!! The places I want to go is an incredibly long list. Let us see...
England, France, Spain, Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, Germany, Poland, Greece, Italy (again), Portugal, England, Russia, Egypt, South Africa, Israel, Fiji, Japan, Antarctica, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand, Canada

I think that might be it. I really want to get a giant map in my room and label all the places I have been and all the places I want to go. Where do you want to go?

  2. Jessica,

I really like the overall layout and design of your blog! Your background is so fun, and makes your blog very inviting. I also like how you have all of your tabs on the side of your blog and at the top. I think that makes it much easier to navigate! You can definitely tell that you have taken time in making your blog very personal. The small details always make a huge difference! Good job!

  3. The layout and background of your blog is one of my favorites! In fact the background gave me inspiration for one of my recent design projects! Plus the labels/tabs being located at the top and side make things super easy to find! I actually might have to go move mine to the top. Do you plan to keep blogging after this class?

  5. Hello Jess, I just wanted to say thank you for your blog comments throughout the year. They have really helped me. I like the design template that you chose for your blog page. They are one of my favorites in the class. I saw that you have posted a Week 10 Storytelling post. Did you still need any feedback from your story?

  6. Hey Jess! I really like reading your portfolio! You are really creative and all the stories are so interesting! I think my favorite one is "The Dinner Party" I liked how you did it in the Moon's perspective and you really emphasized the competition between the siblings! I thought that was clever because I remember when my brother and I would always compete each other to see who's the best child in the family. I also liked your story with the Halloween Mystery! I liked how you draw the attention between Rama and Vibushana! I thought that was clever. You put a lot of details in your story. I also liked how you changed your font in the author's note to distinguish the difference. The way you structured your story was nice too! Overall, I think you did a great job! I don't think I spot any grammar issues.. You kept everything pretty consistent and polished. Keep up the good work!

  7. Jess, I just finished reading through some of your portfolio. It looks great. I also chose to do a portfolio and I felt as if the portfolio option versus the storybook option is actually quite different, however, I believe I am glad I chose to go with he portfolio option. The Dinner Party really stood out to me when reading due to the competition between the siblings. Sibling rivalry is always a very relatable topic, and on a side not you should watch Netflix's Bloodline if you are into sibling rivalries. Your story made me think of it in some ways, maybe it was cause I just finished it but either way I really enjoyed the story. Another point that I feel is very important is the way you are creative with all of your details. You do a great job of showing all of the details and adding some of your own. Outstanding portfolio!

  8. Jessica,

Thank you so much for your comments on my stories "The Magic in Music" and "What the Water Taught Me". Your kind thoughts made me feel really good about my writing. Whenever I write something, I usually feel pretty apathetic about it. But knowing that people are enjoying the stories really makes me happy. I made those edits in the stories, thanks for pointing them out! As much as I enjoy editing, I can never seem to edit my own stories very well.

I felt the same way about the brief mention of Arjuna's marriage, which is why I wrote that story. Do you have a link to the story you wrote for "The Magic Fiddle"? I'd love to read it! It was a great story to begin with.
